Hey, it’s almost the weekend again and we’re doing another #EndorsementFriday!  Last week, the Iowa Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO (IFL) endorsed Miyoko.  On May 5, Danny Homan, President of the AFSCME Iowa Council 61 had a message for us from their PEOPLE Committee.  He wrote,

“We have chosen to endorse you because you are a supporter of working families and we believe you will be a legislator who understands the importance of strong public services. ”

Thank you to AFSCME Iowa Council 61 for your support!

Help us share the good news!

The American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) is the largest trade union of public employees in the United States.  It represents over 1 million public sector employees and retirees, including health care workers, corrections officers, sanitation workers, police officers, firefighters, and childcare providers.  In Iowa, AFSCME Iowa Council 61 represents 40,000 public employees including law enforcement and correctional officers, firefighters, mental health workers, professional school staff, emergency responders, and many other workers.  AFSCME Iowa Council 61 also represents home health care and child care providers across the state and private sector workers at Prairie Meadows, Palmer College of Chiropractic, Des Moines University, and ABM (Marshalltown).
