This Friday we have another Endorsement!  We skipped last week’s #EndorsementFriday to highlight our involvement in the Grimes Governors’ Days Parade, the Capital City Pride Parade in downtown Des Moines, and the Urbandale Flag Day Celebration. This week, we would like to announce that Laborers’ International Union of North America has endorsed Miyoko!

According to their website,

LIUNA—the Laborers’ International Union of North America—is the most progressive, aggressive and fastest-growing union of construction workers, and one of the most diverse and effective unions representing public service employees. LIUNA members are on the forefront of the construction industry – a sector that is a powerhouse of 12 million workers producing 5 percent of our countries’ economic output. A half-million strong, LIUNA is united through collective bargaining agreements which help earn family-supporting pay, good benefits and the opportunity for advancement and better lives.

We received word from Erich Schmidt, the Local 177’s political director, that they have officially endorsed Miyoko’s run for Iowa State Senate. We are very grateful to the Local 177 for their acknowledgement of Miyoko’s commitment to working people!
